Professional
Training
in Self-Regulation
Therapies |
We
offer professional training programs that are tailor-made to the individual
desiring training. Individualized training is usually of five-day
duration, but it can be extended to two weeks or longer, depending
on need. Arrangements are made by appointment with the clinical faculty.
We also do intensive professional training with two individuals at
a time and with small groups. We are quite flexible and can make arrangements
to suit your particular needs at times that are mutually suitable. Professional
Training is available for particular application areas including (among
others):
- Neurofeedback
therapy for Addictions, Attention Deficit Disorders, and Closed
Head Injury
- Psychosynthesis
- Techniques
of Visualization and Imagery
- Complementary
Cancer Therapy
- Hypertension
and Cardiovascular Applications
- Biofeedback
Theory and Methods Useful in Setting Up a Clinical Practice
We have
found it efficacious to provide experiential training of the same
type that we would provide a client, enabling a therapist to experience
first-hand the type of therapy they are wanting to learn. In essence,
you would be the client for the week, learning and experiencing the
training techniques that you wish to use in your professional setting.
Training Protocol Each day is spent learning:
- Use
and Application of Biofeedback Modalities
- New
Strategies for Helping Clients Develop and Maintain Healthy Reaction
Patterns and a Healthy Body
Two hours
per day with the clinical faculty is simultaneously experiential and
didactic, and addresses your questions as they occur. If more than
two hours a day of clinical faculty time is desired, it can generally
be made available. In addition, several hours a day are spent practicing
with biofeedback instruments, reading relevant material, and viewing
educational videos.
Other
Training Opportunities We also set up professional weekend workshops
from time to time. These are set up when group interest exists.
Our staff is also available for lectures and workshops at other
locations. Cost The cost of training, usually $1000 for the
5-day week, varies depending on actual hours spent with a faculty
member. At the end of training we provide a letter certifying the
training accomplished, which can be used for continuing education
credits, and for tax deduction purposes.
